Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will deliver the keynote speech at the Aluminum Association and the Aluminum Extruders Council2011 Spring Meeting, according to a .Feb. 7 release. The organizations will collocate their respective meetings at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa, April 7-9.
Bush will speak at the joint general sessionApril 9. Also scheduled to address joint sessions of the conference are Hydro Aluminum North America President Matt Dionne; former member of Congress and Deloitte partner Tom Davis; aluminum industry analyst Lloyd O’Carroll; and University of Georgia Economics Professor Parks Dodd.
“Former Governor Jeb Bush heads an outstanding program sure to give our members insight into policymaker thinking, member company views, and industry trends,” said Steve Demetriou, Chairman & CEO, Aleris International Inc., and Aluminum Association chairman, in the release.
“The success of our joint sponsorship of ‘Aluminum Week’ last fall encouraged us to collocate our meetings again,” said Tom Schabel, chief executive officer, Alexandria Extrusion Co. and AEC’s chairman, in the release. “That partnership has again helped us in putting together this strong joint schedule.”
