Cardinal Glass Salt Lake factory to move to Loveland, Colo.

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Cardinal Glass Industries will move its North Salt Lake, Utah, facilityto Loveland, Colo.,to be closer to its customers in Colorado and Wyoming, said Chris Moore, plant manager, North Salt Lake plant, in an interview. The 59,000-square-foot plant with an automated cutting table and an electric tempering furnace will employ about 20 people in the first five years, and offer made-to-order tempering.

Five of the 15 current employees at the Salt Lake City plant will move to the Loveland plant, Moore said. The rest are leaving their jobs to stay with their family, he said.

The new facility will be located at 999 Van Buren, and is scheduled to open in June, Moore said.
