Custom Components Co. completes Thomas Jefferson School of Law Project

Custom Components Co., Tampa, Fla.,recently completed a project to supply custom stainless steel glass railing and handrails for the newly constructed Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, according to a Jan. 31 release. Custom Co. supplied and installed more than 500 linear feet of stainless steel point mounted glass railing and handrail in the lobby and stainless steel cable railing and handrail in the classrooms and entry.

The project is a an eight-story, 178,000-square-foot facility in San Diego’s East Village where it sits just a few feet from Petco Park. In addition to its iconic chevron roof, the structure is ultra-modern andtechnologically cutting-edge. It will feature "smart classrooms," outdoor terraces for the students, a café open to the public and a legal clinic. Owners have applied for Gold Level certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.

The architect for the project was Fehlman La Barre Architects Inc. of San Diego and the general contractor was Bovis Lend Lease.

Custom Components Co. supplied and installed over 500 linear feet of stainless steel point mounted glass railing and handrail in the lobby and stainless steel cable railing and handrail in the classrooms and entry.
