M3 Glass Technologies, Irving, Texas,hired Larry Byrd as plant manager, according to a Dec. 23, 2010, release. Byrd began in the glass industry more than 30 years ago as a shipping manager for Oldcastle in Grand Prairie, Texas. After multiple promotions, he held the assistant general manager title until 2006. Most recently, he was manufacturing manager for Arch Aluminum in Fort Worth, Texas,for four years.

He brings extensive industry knowledge, a record of success and quality, and an excellent reputation,” said Chris Mammen, president, M3 Glass Technologies, in the release. “He is well-respected and well-known in our industry. As a person of integrity who expects excellence of himself and his employees, he’ll fit right in.”
