Japan's Nippon Sheet Glass Co. said Wednesday [Dec. 8]that it will increase its production capacity for automotive windshields in Mexico by 30 percent to some 2.5 million units a year.
The company plans to spend US$15 million, or roughly 1.25 billion yen, to build a facility next to its Mexicali factory. The expansion will be completed in early 2012, according to a Dec. 9 TradingMarkets.com report.
