AAMA, IGMA and GANA launch joint glass documents Web site

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association, Schaumburg, Ill., the Glass Association of North America, Topeka, Kan.,and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance, Ottawa, Ontario,have joined forces to createa new Web site that offersa one-stop resource for all glass-related documents for fenestration, according to a Sept. 23 release. AAMA, IGMA and GANAare active in standards development and publications of manuals, technical bulletins, test methods and reports in North America. The documents featured on the joint Web site encompass all areas of glass for fenestration and are available within the following categories:* Codes & Standards* Design & Fabrication * Voluntary Test Methods * Post Fabrication & Installation * Thermal Performance * Care & Maintenance The three associations have joined forces to create this one-stop reference site for the benefit of the architectural and code communities in North America. This Web site is intended to provide the information needed in order to ensure both code compliance and good design. "AAMA has long made the development of standards and specifications a priority initiative as this furthers the goals of our members as well as the progress of our industry, and we're proud to be partnering with GANA and IGMA in efforts to make these documents even more accessible," said Rich Walker, AAMA president and CEO, in the release."These documents covering all areas of glass for fenestration are valuable resources to professionals in the design and construction communities, and making the work of our three associations available in one place will serve as a reference that is both informational as well as convenient," said Bill Yanek, GANA executive vice president, in the release."Our standards, manuals and technical bulletins represent an enormous amount of work done in conjunction with industry professionals for the benefit of our industry," said Marg Webb, IGMA executive director, in the release. "This joint Web site will work to the benefit of those who use our standards and brings together the work that our three associations have to offer." All three organizations will update the site on a continuous basis with document references as they become available.
