U.S. housing starts jumped over 10 percent in August, official data showed Tuesday [Sept. 21], a much faster rate of growth than expected.
Construction starts on privately owned homes rose to 569,000 last month, the Commerce Department said as it reported a four-month high for the index, according to a Sept. 21 AFP report.
