Nippon Sheet Glass to raise up to 49.8 billion yen

Nippon Sheet Glass Co. said Tuesday [Aug. 24] it will raise up to 49.8 billion yen (approximately $584 million) in fresh capital through a public share offering, according to a same-day report on Nikkei.com.

The flat glass maker will issue up to 234 million new shares, including those that may be offered via overallotment if demand is sufficiently strong, on the domestic and overseas markets.
