Benson Industries LLC, Portland, Ore., a manufacturer of commercial fenestration products, including proprietary curtain walls, skylights and store fronts, has recently fulfilled all of the requirements for becoming a National Fenestration Rating Council Independent Approved Calculation Entity Organization, according to an Aug. 17 release.Benson has a worldwide presence and considerable experience providing NFRC site-built label certificates in support of their fenestration systems.Benson is now the third Independent ACE organization. It joins Architectural Testing Inc., York,Pa.,and WESTLab, Penetang, Ontario. Efco, Monett, Mo., has been approved as NFRC’s first Manufacturer ACE organization.
ACE organizations have been established within NFRC’s new Component Modeling Approach Program as the firms who use the CMA software tool (to construct virtual fenestration products and to issue label certificates to prove compliance with the building code requirements for fenestration energy-related performance.For more information regarding the CMA Program and the new ACE Organizations, visit NFRC’s Web site.
