Meltdown Glass relocates

Meltdown Glass Art & Design LLC, Chandler,Ariz.,will relocate to a state-of-the-art glass studio in August, according to a July 27 release. Located in Tempe, Ariz., near the I-10 freeway, the new 18,400-square-foot building with 22-foot ceilings sits on 1.3 acres of land. Two years of architectural planning and a three-month renovation created a space to accommodate all the current and future growth of Meltdown Glass.

The studio is outfitted with state-of-the-art machinery for the production of large-scale architectural kiln cast glass.Two new kilns have been built. An overhead crane system moves glass, and an Italian glass washer and an automatic laser double-headed drilling machine will aid in the production process.
