Vitro America announces new hires and promotion

Three recognized glazing industry professionals – Bill White, Kirk Johnson and Mike Guarino – have moved into new positions with Vitro America, Memphis.

William “Bill” Whitebecame national fabrication director, a newly created position. This group includes fabrication and information technology professionals dedicated to the creation of new and enhanced procedures, and the implementation of best practices in Vitro America’s fabrication facilities. White also willbe responsible for evaluating and purchasing new equipment for all Vitro America fabrication facilities. He has been with the company since 1978 in a variety of management positions. Most recently, he was Vitro America’s Los Angeles area manager.

Kirk Johnson joined Vitro America as Los Angeles area manager. He will be responsible for Vitro America locations in City of Industry, Calif., San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Kapolei, Hawaii. Previously, he served as western region general manager for Arch Aluminum and Glass, Tamarac, Fla., responsible for Arch’s operations in four states. He returns to Vitro America where he worked as western region director of sales and marketing from 1997 to 2005.

Mike Guarino joined Vitro America’s sales team in Texas where he will be responsible for the promotion of Vitro America’s new architectural aluminum entrances, storefront and curtain wall systems in its Classic Line of Architectural Products. He has more than 25 years of experience in the glass and glazing industry. Previously, he worked as contract division manager for Thad Ziegler Glass,SanAntonio, Texas,and as an architectural sales representative for YKK Architectural Products, Austell,Ga.
