The Glass Association of North America, Topeka, Kan.,will hold its first GANA Solar Symposium,1 p.m.-5 p.m.,June 30, at the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City, Mo., in conjunction with the ASTM E44.20 Glass for Solar Applications meeting, according to a June 2 release. The symposium will feature several presentations from experts in the newly energized solar glazing industry.
“The GANA Solar Symposium is yet another way that GANA is showing its dedication to educating the glass and glazing industry on the energy saving potential of architectural glass products," said Urmilla Sowell, GANA technical director, in the release. "This event features the strengths of the GANA Energy Committee and its commitment to representing our members in every aspect of the solar energy movement.”
Scheduled to speak are George Petzen of Indiana-based Linel Signature, Joel Feingold of Pennsylvania-based Strainoptic Technologies Inc., and others from AGC Glass,Alpharetta, Ga.,and PPG, Pittsburgh. Each will present a different facet of the solar glazing industry. The event is open to anyone in the construction industry looking to learn more about solar glazing technologies and increased efficiency offered by glass and glazing.
