The Glass Association of North America, Topeka, Kan., will sponsor a presentation, The Art and Science of Glass, at NeoCon in Chicago, according to a May 18 release. The presentation features insights on the artistic, environmental and technical considerations associated with the installation of glass and its ethereal and psychological impact on architectural spaces from its panelists. The panel includes Charles Rizzo, president of Skyline Design, Chicago, designer Suzanne Tick, and Al Leonard, vice president of sales for Trainor Glass Co., Alsip, Ill.
"With a tremendous audience at NeoCon, our goal is to continue to educate designers on the many ways glass is opening several options in daylighting and natural design," said Ashley Charest, GANA account executive, in the release.
The Art and Science of Glass will be held from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. June 15. The presentation provides 0.1 CEU credits and costs $45 to attend. Registration is available online.
NeoCon will be held at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, June 14-16, with an anticipated attendance of more than 40,000 architecture and design professionals. The show began in 1969 and remains one of the strongest architectural design shows in the United States, according to the release.
