To meet the growing testing needs of the building and building products industries, Hurricane Test Laboratory LLC, Riviera Beach, Fla.,has expanded its engineering services, according to a May 5 release. With recent hires as well as expanded testing capabilities, HTL is now able to offer clients a full scope of services, from research and development to testing and assistance getting NOAs.
“We pride ourselves in adapting to changing testing needs and code requirements,” said Vinu J. Abraham, CEO, HTL, in the release. “With the addition of Lucas Turner to our team, we’ve been able to expand our service offering to better meet the evolving needs of our clients and the building industry.”
The full HTL portfolio of services now includes product design review, code compliance submittal assistance, product submittal services, consultation services, professional video services and testing demonstration and presentation services.
Miami-based GCI Windows & Doors is among the clients that has taken advantage of HTL’s expanded offerings, including its testing demonstration and presentation services for CGI’s educational symposium program. “With HTL’s participation and live cannon impact demonstration, we have been able to directly showcase the performance, strength and importance of impact-resistant window products,” said Len Quist, director of marketing, CGI, in the release. “These demonstrations are always appreciated, and the HTL crew does a fantastic job in explaining and demonstrating this aspect of the testing process.”
In addition to expanding its product offerings in the United States and Caribbean, HTL has also expanded into additional international markets. In recent months, HTL staff has traveled internationally to witness and perform testing around the world.
In additional to on-site testing, HTL operates four state-of-the-art testing facilities in Riviera Beach, Fla., Lithia Springs, Ga., Hillsboro, Tenn., and Lubbock, Texas.
