Efco expands, plans Super Service Center in Springfield, adds jobs

Efco,Monett, Mo.,a Pella company, will launch a new Super Service Center in centrally-located Springfield, Mo., creating new jobs in the process, according to an April 9 release. According to Efco’s director of storefront, James Bateman, the facility will manufacture and provide coast-to-coast access to stock lengths, fabricated materials, and Efco entrance doors for commercial construction needs.

The renovated facility at 2030 North Alliance in Springfield isexpected to open in mid-summer and employ about 20 people initially, and will also serve as headquarters for Efco's expanded storefront operations.

“Our goal in expanding to Springfield is to provide service and storefront product capability that will support Efco customers with shorter lead-times and reduced freight costs,” Bateman said, in the release. Storefronts can range from a single store to multistory structures for retail shopping centers, schools, universities, hospitals, office buildings, churches, and all types of government or institutional buildings.

Efco is seeking applicants with storefront or aluminum entrance fabrication, estimating, customer service, CNC operation/programming, and drafting skills. To apply, e-mail Efco’s Human Resources Department at resumes@efcocorp.com.

In addition to the new Super Service Center in Springfield, the company also operates three service centers in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Verona, Va., and distribution centers in Denver, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City and in Lubbock and Wylie, Texas, according to the release.
