Kawneer names Diana Perreiah general manager

Diana Perreiah has assumed the role of general manager atKawneer Co., Norcross, Ga., according toan April 7 release.In her new role, she will be responsible for guiding the executive management team and oversight of company operations, as well as leading operational excellence andcapturing productivity gains for Kawneer North America.As a long-time Alcoa employee, Perreiah most recently worked as vice president, Business Operations, for Kawneer North America. Her career with Alcoa began in 1986 in Alcoa’s Rigid Packaging Division at Warrick operations in Evansville, Ind., where she held various leadership positions. In 1999, she transferred to Pittsburgh to lead the consolidation of Alcoa’s North America information infrastructure services. In 2003 she joined Alcoa’s internal manufacturing excellence group, Alcoa Operations Management Consulting, and later was named plant manager for Alcoa’s largest soft alloy extrusion plant located in Cressona, Pa., in 2005. In 2007 Perreiah was named operations manager at Alcoa’s Lafayette, Ind.,operations, part of Alcoa’s Hard Alloy Extrusions business. She later assumed responsibility for all extrusion operations in North America. She will continue to be based out of Kawneer’s Norcross headquarters and will report directly to Glen Morrison in his new role as president, Alcoa Building & Construction Systems.

Perreiah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in computational science from Hollins University. She, her husband and two children currently reside in the metro Atlanta area.“Although the market is still facing difficulties, I believe that the team at Kawneer has been able to look toward the future and continues to provide the quality and service that we are recognized for,” Perreiah said, in the release.” Kawneer is a great company and I’m truly excited to be leading such a strong team. There are tremendous opportunities ahead and I’m looking forward to helping take the company to the next level.” Perreiah’s appointment is a strategic move for Kawneer as the company continues to pursue an aggressive investment agenda. Recently, Kawneer embarked on a carefully planned initiative to upgrade its service centers to provide more flexibility and superior service to customers. As Kawneer works to improve and expand its operational capabilities, grow its wide range of products and advance the company through technology and people, Perreiah’s strong leadership experience in operations, commercial and information services will be critical. “Kawneer North America maintains a key role in Alcoa Building & Construction Systems’ strategy and even in these challenging times for the industry we continue to invest heavily in the business,” said Glen Morrison, president, Alcoa Building & Construction Systems, in the release. “I am confident that Diana’s leadership will continue to propel Kawneer toward its goal of driving innovation and effective customer-centric business operations to ensure we meet our customers’ needs now and in the future.”
