Architectural Testing Inc.York, Pa., openeda regional office in Houston March 1, according to a March 3 release. The new office serves as home base for a comprehensive mobile field-testing capability that brings authoritative third-party on-site testing, inspection and building envelope commissioning, as well as forensic investigation services to the Greater Houston and South Texas/Louisiana area.
Heading the facility as project manager is Paul Schuyler, a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards-certified professional architect with a 14-year track record in building envelope design and detailing. Bilingual in Spanish, Schuyler also is a LEED Accredited Professional with international practice experience. The Houston office augments Architectural Testing’s full service laboratory in Fort Worth, Texas.
"The services now available from the Houston office are in increasing demand as both designers and building owners seek to ensure the intended installed performance of complex building envelope systems, and to identify the source of post-occupancy problems that could surface with performance liability implications," said Dan Braun, vice president for regional operations, in the release.
Additionally, the Houston facility offers a convenient local platform for plant inspection services for area manufacturers participating in ATI’s certification programs for the Florida Product Approval program, acoustic performance, blast resistance, roof impact resistance and other building product performance aspects, according to the release.
