Glass firm in jobs shock

More than half the workforce at a glass company in Wolverhampton [U.K.]have lost their jobs after administrators were called in.

Watsons Glass employed 70 staff, 38 of whom have now been made redundant. Last year, the company was singled out by Business Secretary Lord Mandelson as ‘prime example of the future of the UK manufacturing industry’. The glass processing company is based on the Manders Estate, Heath Town, according to a Feb. 10 Express & Star report.
