German solar module manufacturer Centrosolar Group AG has plans to open its first U.S. manufacturing plant in Gresham, [Ore.] using $4.7 million in newly-acquired federal tax credits.
A spokeswoman for the company confirmed the plans, though she didn’t immediately have details on the plant’s size or on the number of jobs it will generate.
Laura Shepard, communications manager for the city of Gresham, said city officials have been aware of Centrosolar’s interest in Gresham, but had no further details of the company’s plans.
