Vistamatic, Coral Springs, Fla., won a contract to supply its fire-rated laminated vision panels for the expansion of Loma Linda University Cancer Center, Loma Linda, Calif., according to a Jan. 6 release.
Established in 1991, the cancer center is being expanded in phases, the first and second of which were officially opened in in 2008 and the remainder, which consist of a symptom management clinic, a patient resource center and the build-out of the remaining pavilions are scheduled for completion this and next year.
Vistamatic vision panels consist of three sheets of glass set within an insulated unit, which are operated using Vistamatic’s propriety lever mechanism. When the lever is turned, the inner sheet of glass rise to enable observation and, by turning the handle back, vision is obscured.
Says Vistamatic CEO, Kevin Roth: “Linda Loma University Cancer Center is a renowned world leading cancer care facility and we are delighted to be working on the expansion of their state of the art center.”
