The Delaware Department of Highway Safety awarded Mr. Go-Glass, Lewes, Del., its 2009 Outstanding Outreach Award for its contributions to promoting highway safety awareness. Programs sponsored by Mr. Go-Glass in 2009 included a holiday “Mocktail” event to raise awareness of drinking and driving during the holidays, a “Simulated Impaired Driving Experience” program using a special go-kart to simulate the feeling of driving under the influence and an auto glass installation safety article published in the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Spring 2009 Newsletter.
