Pittsburgh Glass Works [Pittsburgh] is closing its last auto glass manufacturing plant in Canada next month, but a union leader has warned the U.S.-based company that it risks losing significant business without operations here.
Jerry Dias, a senior official for the Canadian Auto Workers, said Thursday [Oct. 8]that he told the company pulling production out of Canada and shipping from the U.S. to customers here will be a big mistake, according to an Oct. 9 thestar.com report.
