Auburn Hills, Mich-based Guardian Industries’ chairman and its chief technology officer will lead a solar energy panel designed to bring industry experts together to discuss solar technology and trends at GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window &Door Expo, Sept. 30–Oct. 2, in Atlanta, according to a Sept. 27 release.
On Oct. 1, Guardian Chairman and Glass Group President Russell Ebeid will serve as moderator for GlassBuild’s educational seminar, “The Solar Panel Industry: Where We Go From Here.” Guardian Chief Technology Officer Scott Thomsen, along with executives from several of the world’s leading solar panel manufacturers and energy firms, will participate in the high-profile, interactive panel discussion, offering a comprehensive overview of the global industry. Key points of emphasis will include the latest solar panel research, current and long-term market trends and developments in both photovoltaic and mirror technologies, including the performance and durability of glass.
"As a leading glass manufacturer, our goal is to create new products that optimize the energy investment of our customers," said Thomsen, in the release. “We’re looking forward to joining other leading solar industry players on the panel to discuss what needs to be done to drive technology forward and meet the challenges of achieving new efficiencies.”
