Coastal Glass to cease operation

Coastal Glass Distributors, Charleston, S.C., will cease operations, according to an Aug. 25letter to its customers from company president Jack B. Hoey Jr. The decision to close shop came "after efforts to obtain ongoing financing proved unavailing."

For the next few days the company will complete and deliverorders already received; it will not accept orders after close of business Aug. 25. Final deliveries will be made Aug. 31, according to the letter. Customer service representatives will contact customers to confirm orders at hand. All orders shipped after Aug. 26 will be on a COD basis unless prior approval is given.
