Throughout the week of June 8, Edgetech I.G., Cambridge, Ohio, hosted its nearly 40 worldwide sales and marketing executives in Cambridge for a meeting to discuss best practices, future trends in the industry and ideas for enhancing the customer experience around the globe, according to a June 17 release. This year’s meeting brought about one surprise–the unveiling of Edgetech’s latest product line through the Edgetech 360 Value Promise–SustainaBlock setting blocks.
“These meetings were timed perfectly for us to make an international splash with our new SustainaBlock setting block product line,” said product manager Joe Erb, who made the announcement to the team, according to the release. “Our experience and expertise in silicone rubber compounds make setting blocks a perfect fit for our value-added product mix. We are able to fulfill an unmet need for a cost-effective, high-quality solution for commercial and residential customers.”
The tagline for SustainaBlocks, "Designed with Tomorrow in Mind," was also introduced at the meeting. According to Erb, the new setting blocks provide total system compatibility and are available in a wide variety of material options, including the latest in stable silicone technology.
For use in a wide range of glazing applications, the setting blocks can be used to position, cushion and support glass in a window frame or opening, and are compatible with most sealant types, according to the release. In addition to their sustainable attributes, SustainaBlocks are available in variety of sizes, profiles and materials, including silicone rubber, EPDM and plastics. With a minimum order, Edgetech can also customize SustainaBlocks based on color, material, packaging and self-adhesion needs.
“The international team had much to celebrate with the product unveiling and our recent announcement that global demand for Super Spacer helped us achieve record sales in April,” said Larry Johnson, executive vice president, Edgetech, in the release. “These are challenging times, but we are well prepared to help our customers meet the increasing demand for high-performance, sustainable products, even in today’s economic climate.”
