PV America attracts national attention

"I believe that over the next five years, the development of a green energy economy can drive this nation’s comeback," said Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell this past week as he delivered a keynote address to leaders of the solar energy industry. PV America was hosted at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from June 8-10, and featured a technical conference, trade show, and public policy round-table that attracted photovoltaic innovators from across the nation. The event marks the first of its kind to integrate technical developments and policy issue surrounding the photovoltaic industry into a single conference, and was presented by the Solar Energies Industry Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. A wide range of attendees included CEOs, photovoltaic installers, technology specialists, policy makers, financers and other industry leaders spanning all sectors of the economy, according to a June 17 Weekly Press report.
