May National Associates Inc., Lakewood, N.J.,announces its license to produce PRC insulating glass sealants from PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, according to a May 20 release. The products will now be offered under the Bondaflex brand, expanding May National’s product line of high-performance sealants for the residential and commercial fenestration markets.
The product includes the polyurethane and silicone polymer-based sealants used in the manufacture of insulating glass units for dual-pane windows.
“The addition of PRC insulating glass sealants further expands our product offerings for residential and commercial window applications,” said Mark Yamout, CEO, May National, in the release. “Making these products available again will continue to provide insulating glass manufacturers with the products they know and trust, while giving them the quality, performance and ease of application they require."
PRC products now available through the Bondaflex brand include: PRC 4400, a two-part silicone for conventional and structurally glazed insulating glass units; PRC 4401, one-part rapid cure silicone; PRC 4429, a two-part polyurethane sealant developed to seal against moisture, cold, heat and contamination; and PRC 4429 HM, a two-part polyurethane sealant for use in the fabrication of glass units utilizing Heat Mirror films.
