Nippon Sheet Glass sees wider loss, will cut jobs

Nippon Sheet Glass Co., which bought Pilkington Plc in 2006, forecast a wider loss and a sales decline for its current year, and said it will cut 6,700 jobs by the end of March next year.

The company expects a net loss of 50 billion yen ($523 million) in the year to March 31, following a 28.4 billion loss for the year just ended, according to a company statement sent to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, states a May 20 Bloomberg report.
