Edgetech, LMI Custom Mixing host day of learning

Edgetech I.G., Cambridge, Ohio,and LMI Custom Mixing, Cambridge,hosted approximately 50 pre-teens from Meadowbrook Middle School, Cambridge, according to a May 5 release. Broken into four groups, the students from Lisa Eibel’s sixth-grade reading classes received tours and presentations on manufacturing, product testing, product management and marketing.

The large group of students was led through the production process at LMI by Jim Nixon, general manager, the Edgetech testing lab by Lee Canning, senior research coordinator, Edgetech production by Tom Matthews, safety coordinator, and product management/marketing by Bob Mecomonaco, Edgetech product manager. As the final leg of the tour, everyone regrouped and students had the opportunity to ask the entire team questions.
