Vitro receives Socially Responsible Company award

The business units for glass containers and flat glass of Vitro S.A.B. de C.V., México,and its subsidiary Clinica Vitro (the Vitro Clinic) and its corporate offices received the certification of being a Socially Responsible Company (ESR 2009) for the second consecutive year, according to a March 12 company release. TheMexican Philanthropic Center, A.C. (CEMEFI) awards the certificate.

This special distinction was awarded to Vitro in virtue of having met the established standards in the strategic area of corporate social responsibility in México. These standards cover the areas of: environment, community, integral development of its employees and corporate governance, according to the release.
