A construction worker facing a lifetime of acute disability after crashing through a skylight on a warehouse roof yesterday settled his High Court compensation case and is to receive £450,000 [$640,674]. Michael John Brand, 46, of Taverham, near Norwich [U.K.], suffered severe brain injuries as well as a fractured pelvis, a cut to his liver and a punctured lung when he fell about five meters onto a concrete floor in February 2004.
