The Glass Association of North America, Topeka, Kan., released its 21st Glass Informational Bulletin, a series of educational documents availablefor free download from its Web site, according to a Feb. 9 release. Titled Bid Considerations for Contract Glazing Proposals, the GIB provides a handy list of contract inclusions, exclusions and qualifications for glazing subcontractors to consider adopting in their bids and job contracts. The list is a tool to assist subcontractors in evaluating their bid proposals.
“As the world of bid and contract writing becomes more perilous, the GANA Building Envelope Contractors Division created this list to give glazing contractors and project managers a helpful resource,” said Ashley Charest, account executive, in the release.
Since their original creation, GANA’s GIBs have been downloaded more than 350,000 times, according to the release. Visitors to the site’s TechCenter will be able to add this GIB to their library beginning today.
The GANA BEC Division’s Technical Committee will meet early next week as a part of the BEC Conference to discuss development of other helpful resources for the industry, according to the release.
