Diamon-Fusion International Inc., San Clemente, Calif., global developer and exclusive licensor of patented hydrophobic nanotechnologies, signed a license agreement in Mexico with Millet Industria De Vidrio, a Yucatan-based glass group, according to a Feb. 6 DFI release. Millet, a 50-year privately held group based in Yucatan peninsula, has manufacturing plants in Merida and Cancun and distributes a range of glass products throughout Southeast Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.The company'smain products include tempered and laminated flat and curved glass for various industry sectors, and mirrors, all in a variety of finishes and thicknesses, according to the release. Mexico currently represents the world’s 13th largest economy and is firmly established as an advanced middle-income country. It has the highest income per capita in Latin America and is the only Latin American member of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, according to the release.“The Diamon-Fusion nanocoating offers a significant added-value and a key easy-to-clean feature that will enhance our line of products," said Mauricio Millet, managing director, Millet, in the release. "During economic slowdowns, we need to be creative and offer the best value to sustain our business.”“This partnership was key to achieve complete coverage Mexico wide," said Guillermo Seta, executive director, DFI Global Operations, in the release. "Millet is unquestionably the market leader in the southeast of Mexico.”
