Glaston Corp. Finland, released its interim report Jan. 1-June 30, according to a company release Aug. 14. From January-June, the company receivedorderstotalling Eur115.1 or $124.9 million. Glaston's order book on June 30 was Eur98.9 or $116.2 million.
"The architectural glass segment and the strongly developing solar energy market form the foundation for our growth," said Mika Seitovirta, president and CEO. "In the first half of the year, the architectural glass market continued to grow. The solar energy market also continued to be active, but customers' decision-making times have lengthened significantly. As a result, orders received were below the level of the previous year, which was a record high. Glaston's growth was strongest in the Middle East and South America.
