Beginning in August, Glaston plans to significantly strengthen its operations in North Asia and China, according to a July 9 company release. Asia, particularly China, has a special priority in Glaston's strategy."China is in a critical position in Glaston's growth strategy,” said Mika Seitovirta, Glaston’s CEO and president, in the release. “It is not only a big market, it also has the biggest growth expectations in the world. It is already a significant market consuming about one third of the global glass. But the market is also fast growing because of the booming demand from construction, increasing concern for energy efficiency, and potential regulations on glass security."
