Sri Lanka’s Glass, Windows & Doors, Aluminium Extrusion and Wood Expo International Exhibition
After the successful event of last year, the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition of Wood, glass, Aluminum Extrusion, Doors and windows closed its doors for this year with satisfaction for exhibitors and organizers. The Exhibition Popularly Known as Fantastic 4 with its 4 brands put under 1 banner namely Glass, Windows & Doors, Aluminium Extrusion & Wood welcomed more than 8000 registered business buyers in three days. Fantastic 4 after the successful commencement of the exhibition was termed as most valuable platform in terms of Business Networking. The Exhibition is regarded as Sri Lanks’s ideal B2B platform by the industry experts.
Futurex Fantastic 4 Exhibition started on 27th Morning of Friday of September at BMICH, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Opening ceremony was graced by the gracious presence of Whose & Who of the construction Industry. The Ceremony started with the Sri Lanka National Anthem & Lighting of the lamp. Vidya Jyothi Prof. Lakshman Alwis (Chairman of Design Consortium Limited) the chief guest inaugurated the exhibition ,with him were , Madam Chitra Weddikara (President of SLIA), Architect Prem Nath (Prem Nath And Associates, INDIA) Mr. Rohan Peris (MD, ALUMEX), Mr.Aelian (MD, JAT holdings), Mr. Mahinda (Joint MD AGM centerpoint),Mr. Jurgen Wolf (MD, South Asia Hafele), Mr. Ramu Ramakrishnan (MD, Ramu Machinery), Mr Prem Anveshi (MD, FUTUREX) Mr. Namit Gupta (Director, FUTUREX), Ms Nidhi Sharma (Director, FUTUREX), Ms Ekta Modak (Director, FUTUREX).
With 200 exhibitors from different countries and around 1000 innovations and technologies of products Fantastic Four a property of FUTUREX Trade Fairs and Events has confirmed its position as the most important specialized meeting place. Many exhibitors have done good business during the show. It attracted investors and companies from the whole world.

The Soul of the exhibition was the live demonstration & Training sessions. Hafele Fest Tools Conducted a live workshop on Wood Working Power Tools. The energies around the stall was quite enthusiastic recorded with the overcrowded stall of the company. The knowledge shared, encouraged the Artisians, Workers of the industry to attend it from different part of the country.
Another Workshop was conducted by Alumex, which gave the live demonstrations on the Fabrication of window.Also Companies Like Felder, Ramu Machinery, Biesse attracted the huge audience towards the live demonstration on wood working machines. Another ground breaking event along with the Exhibition was the Sri Lanka Glass Conclave held on the first day of the exhibition.

FUTUREX Sri Lanka Glass Conclave 2013”- It was an international conference on the latest trends and challenges in high rise buildings with the objective to respond to the growing demand for research, development and innovation in the construction sector. The Conclave in its 2nd edition itself has been established as a must visit event for the Sri Lanka Construction Industry due to the industry knowledge & experience shared by the experts of the industry.
The Subjects covered for High rise building was quite interesting & so were the enthusiastic discussions & debates. The event started on 27th morning at 10:00 hrs soon after the inauguration of the exhibition. The opening ceremony was started by Sri Lankan National Anthem & Lighting of the Lamp. The auspicious lamp was lit by Chief Guest Architect Laxman Alvis, International Guest Speaker Architect Prem Nath, Madam Chitra Weddikara President Sri Lanka Institute of Architects & by our sponsors. The most encouraging element in Future x Sri Lanka Glass Conclave was the participation of the audience in the discussion which speakers & the panel Discussion. We are at Futurex Group with the success of the conference feels Glad & proud to bring forth a valuable Platform where all important issues related to construction can be addressed & discussed in detail.

Day 2 event was the hardware workshop conducted by Dorset- The Workshop conducted by the company called Dorset dealing in Architectural Hardware, locks & security system in association with Mans Lanka. The Workshop magnetized the Wood workers & Artisians. More than 100 artisans attended the workshop. It was conducted by International Experts Mr. Yashwant Pandey from Dorset. The attendees expressed that the opportunity was good training session & has helped to enhance the knowledge. They thanked the organizers for organizing such platform & are looking forward for more training sessions in the upcoming edition in 2014. All the exhibitors were pleased with their participation at Fantastic Four 2013 Sri Lanka, they found relevant and quality visitors visiting their stand moreover the exhibitors see the event as an effective platform to launch their new products or services.
