Sandra Santos becomes new CEO of BA Glass

Sandra Santos has been appointed chief executive officer of BA Glass as of 10 February 2014. Current CEO Jorge Alexandre will retire from his executive role, maintaining his position in the board of directors.

Sandra Santos joined BA in 1999.

"I would like to thank Jorge Alexandre personally and on behalf of the shareholders for his successful management since he was appointed CEO in 2003," said chairman Carlos Moreira da Silva. "As BA Glass continues its evolution, the skills of the CEO will be critical in managing our operational effectiveness and conducting the challenges of our business model to deliver profitable growth. Sandra Santos, in her new role, will bring a great mix of leadership, inspiration, perseverance, operational experience and passion for new challenges."
