British Glass Annual Conference

We are holding our annual conference this year on 16th May. It promises to be a big event, with a large proportion of our members attending, and it is open to non-members, so we will have big brand names there (such as SABMiller, Diageo, M&S etc).

The current list of confirmed speakers includes individuals from the CBI, Siemens, Glass Technology Services, SAB Miller and Vivid Economics. The speakers will be covering areas such as the economic landscape, developments in technology, current and future thinking around environmental issues, innovations within glass and architecture and design.

SPEAKER UPDATE: The latest addition to our confirmed speakers is Dr. Jane Muncke, Managing Director, Food Packaging Forum Foundation, who will be giving an insight into such areas as the latest developments in food packaging assessments and what this could mean for the glass container industry. Attendees at the conference will include key representatives and decision makers from large glass manufacturers such as float, container and fibre, specialist manufacturers, suppliers, recycling companies, machine manufacturers, brand owners and retailers.

The events attracts companies from the UK and Europe. There will be opportunities to network throughout the day and an exhibition area for sponsors and key partners to showcase the latest developments in their particular sector. The conference ticket also includes an evening black tie dinner which this year will feature a ‘Glass Awards’ section open to everyone in the supply chain.
