In the first quarter of 2014 "Crimean Soda Plant" belongs to GroupDF, increased sales of soda ash in Ukraine by 4.6% - from 59,874 to 62,645 tons.

The company sells soda ash marks "A" and "B". In the first quarter of 2014 sales of soda brand "A" increased by 5.6% from 50,832 to 53,687 tons. At the same time the sales of soda brand "B" fell by 0.9% from 9042 to 8958 tons.

 

"There are three main reasons for the growth of sales of soda ash. First, increased demand from manufacturers of glass containers. Ash is used as raw material for the manufacture of glass. Second, the increased demand for soda originated due to the unstable economic situation. Manufacturers that use soda as a raw material, tried to form a higher stocks soda. Also, due to the devaluation of currencies and their scarcity in the market, imports declined sharply soda, "- said Dmitry Nechitailo, head of projects of new activities Group DF.

 

In January - March 2014 PJSC "Crimean Soda Plant" has sold 3,809 tons of baking soda. "This is 18% more than we had planned," - said Vladislav Shmelkov, Chairman of the Board "Crimean Soda Plant". - Due to the increasing demand for our products and increase sales, we have revised production plans.

 

Production of baking soda to "Crimean Soda Plant" was launched in August 2013. Group DF invested in the project, more than 60 million hryvnia.
