Advantech-GPEG introduces Rhino protection glass for display and monitor applications

Post Time:May 30,2014Classify:Company NewsView:385

The glass is available in 1.1mm, 3.2mm, 4mm and 6mm options; for ATM and other unsupervised applications, a 12mm or 25mm vandal-resistant laminated cover glass can be used to protect the display from the most extreme attacks.

While lightweight, the cover glass is built to be robust, offering drop ball protection up to UL60950.

Anti-glare and anti-reflective coatings can be added for improved contrast and optical performance in ambient light conditions, and there is also the option to include custom rear screen printing to enhance the styling of the user interface.

On most glass substrates, surface and edge features can be added to improve utility, from rounded and grooved edges to surface dimples, grooves and etched features that provide a tactile touch experience.

The protective cover glass can also be combined with a touch input for maximum impact and functionality. A range of touch options are available, including resistive, infrared, SAW, surface capacitive and projected capacitive.

In harsh environments, Rhino enclosures protect against dust, rain, snow, temperature fluctuations and vibration and can be added to any Advantech intelligent display product.
