In Moscow, opened the production of energy-saving glass

Post Time:Jun 16,2014Classify:Industry NewsView:340

In Moscow oblast was launched line of application of nano - the final stage of the creation of a full cycle of the multifunctional window glass. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, and Chairman of the Board RUSNANO Anatoly Chubais.

The company is a joint project of RUSNANO Group NSG, represented in the Russian market under the brand Pilkington, as well as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Russian group of companies STiS. Total investment in the construction of a new shop at Ramenskoye area was about 2 billion rubles.

Start line coating by magnetron sputtering - the final stage of creating a full-cycle production of various types of glass, which has unique properties. They are obtained by a special multi-layer coating, each layer of which has a size of 5 to 500 nanometers.

The main product of the company SP Glass will be energy-saving glass of various kinds. Ordinary transparent glass, even when used in double glazing have low energy-saving properties - the lion's share of heat loss falls on window. This in turn leads to high costs for heating and cooling rooms. Application of energy-saving glass with nano in residential and industrial areas to reduce heat loss during the cold season to 70%, and in the heat of such glasses protect the building from overheating. In Moscow alone effect of the use of energy-efficient glazing could reach tens of billions of rubles a year.

Performance line at the start of about 4 million square meters per year. It is planned that after reaching the design capacity of the line figures will more than double to 10 million square meters, with an average size of 1.5 x 2 meter window is equivalent to three million boxes.

Depending upon the particular kind of glass, may be applied on the plant functional layer 15, which for example enables glass having both a power-saving properties and the possibility for self-cleaning.

Currently running line for applying nano-coating is the most advanced and productive in Russia, allowing not only to produce a wide range of coated glasses, but also to the rapid transitions from one product to another. The project will develop new technologies in the production of functional glass with new features - production, which has only imported into Russia.

It should be noted that in mass production cost of windows with energy-efficient glass is practically no different from the usual cost of windows with double glazing. At the same time, the economic effect of low-emissivity glass is estimated at 30% (savings on heating and electricity), and in the case of multifunctional coating is even higher, since the additional savings achieved by artificial lighting and air-conditioning facilities.
