Fashion Glass & Mirror LLC has announced it will locate a new manufacturing facility in Lockhart and bring 100 jobs to the town about 30 miles southeast of Austin.
The company plans to buy land and build a 25,000-square-foot facility to house manufacturing, warehousing and office suites at 2222 W. San Antonio St. The company supplies glass and mirrors for builders as well as a range of other services. The new Fashion location will be the anchor facility of the Centerpoint at Lockhart development at State Highways 142 and 130, according to the Greater San Marcos Partnership economic development group.
Fashion Glass & Mirror was founded a in 1973 with three employees and has grown to include a fleet of 90 trucks. The company plans to open its Central Texas facility with 60 employees and 30 trucks, and expects to add more quickly. The company employs more than 250 and expects to grow its workforce to 350 with the Lockhart expansion.
