Ultra-thin information display glass technology of Bengbu Institute passes the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of the industry

The subject of research and application on key technology of industrialized production of ultra-thin information display glass collectively completed by Bengbu Design and Research Institute for Glass Industry and other units passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal organized by China  Building Materials Federation on the morning of July 20.  

The expert conclusion is as follows: the project result has completely independent intellectual property rights, breaks the foreign technology blockade and product market monopoly, and develops serial products of information display glass. The indicators of these products have met the needs of information display industry after the products is applied by several units. The successful implementation of this project has realized the stride leap of the application of float glass from construction materials field to electronic information display field, which has great significance for improving our country industrial structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading and industry technical progress. It has remarkable economic and social benefit and broad market prospect and reaches the international advanced level.

The identification committee is composed of a dozen of authoritative experts including Jiang Desheng, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and user representatives. Xu Yongmo, vice chairman of China Building Materials Federation, and Peng Shou, president of Bengbu Design and Research Institute for Glass Industry, made a speech in the meeting respectively. Mao Lingwen, executive vice president of Bengbu Institute, on behalf of the project group, gave the work report, research report and a report on economic and social benefit, user representatives gave the custom report, and the committee questioned and discussed on the result.
