Fuyao Glass America Inc. has executed its agreement with JobsOhio and will receive $6.6 million in incentives.
JobsOhio says the Chinese auto glass manufacturer’s investment in the Dayton area is expected to be $230 million in capital investment and $32.5 million in payroll. It signed the agreement to move forward with its new project in exchange for incentives from the state’s private development arm in July.
The company is spinning up a new operation at the former General Motors plant in Moraine that is expected to create 800 jobs, and is expected to be the beginning of a $400 million investment by the company in the United States by 2016.
Among the funding JobsOhio is giving Fuyao will be a $5.6 million economic development grant and a $1 million workforce grant.
