Overview of the Russian market of sheet glass. Results of the 1st half of 2014

The Russian market of flat glass in the 1st half of 2014 showed an increase of 6% compared to the same period of 2013 to 127 million. M2. Imports of flat glass in Russia in the 1st half of 2014 decreased by 25% to 10.1 million m2.

Mainly been imported float glass thermally polished, the main suppliers of which the Republic of Belarus and China.

Export of flat glass from Russia fell by 6% to 17.3 million. M2.

Exclusively exported float glass (bolee98%). The average price for the manufacturer of float glass in Russia in the 1st half of 2015 decreased by 9% over the same period in 2013 from 121 to 110 rub. / M2 (excluding VAT and delivery).

According to the results of the 1st half 2014 issue of float glass increased by 4.5% to 88.3 million. M2. This segment of sheet glass occupies the largest share in the total production of all kinds of flat glass - 70%. Leaders of the release of float glass are enterprises of Saratov Region, the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Rostov region.
