he Ramanujan IT City is a tribute of sorts by Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) to the mathematical genius of Ramanujan.

In a way, it is also a fitting acknowledgment of the sheer versatility of glass, as is evident from the extensive use of glass in lobbies. Saint-Gobain’s range of coloured and lacquered glass – Planilaque Evolution – brings a welcome change in the way glass has been used in office architecture.

As the glass in lobbies, SGG Planilaque Evolution makes its presence felt in the lobby panelling, lift lobbies, and reception backgrounds. Planilaque White was chosen for its understated class and elegance, befitting the lobby area. 40000 sq.ft. of SGG Planilaque being used, was a testimonial to both the functional and aesthetic benefits of this coloured glass.

SGG Planilaque Evolution can be easily installed; it also does not require much effort on the cleanliness and maintenance front. As a moisture-resistant and scratch-proof glass, it is well-equipped to deal with everyday use, a significant factor that comes in handy for glass in lobbies. Moreover, it is also an important contributor to environment sustainability as it contains only a negligible amount of VOC and is completely devoid of lead, arsenic, copper and formaldehyde.

TRIL’s Ramanujan IT City is a project that has been culminated by the contribution of several world-renowned names. Developed by the Tatas, designed by famed US architects SOM, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, constructed by Leighton of Australia, and pre-certified by LEED Gold guidelines, it bears the stamp of internationally acclaimed architecture. And with Saint-Gobain’s Planilaque Evolution finding pride of place as the glass in lobbies, this project truly has everything it takes to be world-class
