Glass, Glazing Businesses Make Way to Inc. 5000 List

More than half a dozen architectural glass and glazing-related companies made Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list, which ranks the fastest-growing private companies in America.

 

Leading the way for the industry at No. 1,762 overall is Western Window Systems, a door and window manufacturer that provides innovative designs such as insulating glass and full-wall door systems for commercial and residential customers. The Phoenix, Ariz.-based company boosted its revenue 236 percent in three years, going from $8.4 million in 2010 to $28.2 million in 2013 and adding 122 jobs in that span.

 

Glass Doctor of Seattle-Tacoma 196-percent growth from 2010-13 earned it a No. 2,056 ranking on the list. The Des Moines, Wash.-based company, which specializes in glass repairs—shower enclosures and storefronts, included—increased its revenue from $1.2 million to $3.5 million in the three years, adding seven employees in the process.

 

Hale Glass, a specialty contractor providing fabrication and installation of aluminum entrances, storefronts and curtainwalls for commercial buildings, came in at No. 2,280. Based out of Placentia, Calif., Hale grew by 171 percent from 2010-13 with a revenue jump of $4.1 million to $11.2 million. The company added 20 jobs over that time. Hale Glass was also featured in USGlass magazine’s list of the nation’s top contract glaziers in the March 2014 issue.

 

At No. 2,664 overall is Port Chester, N.Y.-based Avanti Systems USA, which supplies and installs architectural glass wall and glass door systems inspired by European interior design trends. It increased its revenue from $865,339 in 2010 to $2.1 million in 2013 for a 141 percent growth and added two employees.

 

Adler Windows, which specializes in replacement doors and windows for multifamily, commercial and residential buildings, ranked No. 3,297 on Inc.’s list with a 103 percent growth from 2010-13. Over those three years, the Jamaica, N.Y.-based business added 33 jobs and increased its revenue from $3.9 million to $7.9 million.

 

Based out of Irving, Texas, M3 Glass Technologies made the list at No. 3,988 overall. The company, which experienced a 75 percent growth in three years, produces architectural glass products such as frameless shower doors, glass balustrades, glass flooring and decorative glass. M3 added 38 jobs from 2010-13 and increased its revenue from $8.6 million to $15.1 million in that span.

 

At No. 4,950 was Beloit, Wis.-based ABC Supply, a distributor of windows and other select exterior building products. ABC grew 44 percent from 2010-13, increasing its revenue from $3,410.4 million to $4,911.2 million in that span, adding 1,168 jobs in the process.
