More than 73 tons of glass collected in Vladivostok since the start of the eco-project "has benefited his city"

More than 73 tonnes of waste glass (cullet) collected in Vladivostok since the start of the environmental project "Bring the benefit of their city". The project started five months ago - in February this year. It provides for the installation of specialized containers for the collection of this type of waste that will be covered by the organizers and partners of the project - LLC "Baltika", LLC "Habarovsksteklotara" and "Primvtorsteklo" with the support of the Administration of Vladivostok.

To date, the capital of Primorye established 119 special containers for separate collection container cullet. The project will continue - the organizers are ready to continue with the installation of containers, bringing the total to 300 units.

As reported by the Department of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Vladivostok Administration, the successful promotion of the method of separate waste collection is aimed primarily at reducing the negative impact on the environment.

In turn, according to the chairmen of the HOA and management companies involved in the project, implemented by the project provides benefits and tenants, and the companies themselves - it serves an important ecological function of shaping public culture of waste management.

"The aim of the project - the organization of selective collection of waste glass and glass in order to reduce the overall amount of waste landfilled (because of the volume goes to recycling), and hence, minimizing the negative impact of waste on the environment, reducing pollution of the city, as well as the development of the environmental culture and consciousness of the citizens ", - said the head of the Department of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Vladivostok Administration Alexander Korshenko.

Recall that in Vladivostok, according to the "Regulations on the organization of collection, transportation, processing and recycling of household and industrial waste," the obligation to ensure the collection and storage of waste, including through the device storage facilities, as well as recycling and disposal, the housing stock vested in the governing bodies responsible for the content of the common property of apartment buildings (management companies, HOA, HBC). In addition, the Regulations provided for the separation of waste by type, hazard classes, state of aggregation, and other criteria.
