Glaston Closes Deal with Cardinal

Glaston Corporation has closed a deal worth approximately EUR 3.4 million (approximately $4.3 million USD) with U.S.-based Cardinal Glass Industries for its tempering machines FC500 and double chamber FC1000. According to the company, the order is booked in Glaston’s fourth quarter, and the machines will be delivered during the first and third quarter in 2015.

“This deal is a continuation of our fruitful collaboration, which from the beginning has been based on technological leadership, ensuring the uncompromised quality of the final product,” says Arto Metsänen, Glaston’s president and CEO. “The Glaston FC1000 flat tempering line, presented at the glasstec fair in October, represents the most advanced technology and is the right solution for the customer who supplies glass for demanding façade solutions as well as large quantities of low-emissivity insulated window units.”

Cardinal Glass Industries develops residential glass for windows and doors from 37 manufacturing locations around the U.S., and the company distributes glass products worldwide.
