Rajasthan Industrial and Investment Corporation (RIICO) is planning to set up a "Ceramic and Glass Industrial Zone" at Ghiloth, near Neemrana.
Spread over an area of 750 acre, this zone will have gas availability through dedicated supply by GAIL.
Special incentives are being offered to the ceramic and glass sector by way of investment subsidies. A transparent mechanism for offering customised packages to large industries was also announced in the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS-2014).
After identifying the ceramic and glass sector as a thrust sector in RIPS-2014, RIICO is organising an investors' meet and business to government interaction (B2G) on ceramics, glass and allied work, wherein it shall launch its ceramic and glass industrial zone.
The meet, to be held today, will launch the ceramic and glass industrial zone, which is reported to be India's first organised attempt towards cluster development of the sector. RIICO will share details of incentives to probable investors at the meet.
Rajasthan is the depository and mining hub for all basic ingredients of ceramic and glass and is the sole state that supplies all the raw material for the ceramics and glass industry across India.
